Life. Every single living thing has something in common—do you know what that is? The clue is in the title! In this learning package you will learn all about cells—the parts and the functions of those parts. By learning about the basic building block of life, scientists, and you, can have a better understanding of the workings of your body and of all living things. You’ll understand what happens when all the parts are working well, and what can happen when a part malfunctions. In this learning package you will learn about: • the characteristics of living things • cell theory • the structure and function of cell organelles • similarities and differences between cell types (plant, animal, and bacteria) • how viruses reproduce • osmosis and diffusion
