Teachers' responsibilities extend to dealing with a number of sensitive topics and ensuring that their pupils have the knowledge and skills to cope with difficult situations. Aduja does not want to go home because her step father is abusive. Her teacher tries to resolve the problem. Ezekiel is too embarrassed to explain menstruation to Njideka and she becomes frightened and runs away. This causes lots of problems in the village which are eventually resolved by Mama Baby.
